The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Medicaps University successfully conducted an industrial visit to Shivani Detergents Pvt ltd, Pithampur, on 26 September 2024. The visit provided students with valuable insights into the real-world applications of mechanical engineering in the automation sector. During the tour, students observed: Students understand the chemicals used in detergent manufacturing (e.g., surfactants, builders, enzymes).
Observing how raw materials are mixed to create detergent, with automated mixers and blenders ensuring consistent quality. PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers): Learning how PLCs are used to automate production lines, control machinery, and ensure safety. How automation uses sensors to detect various parameters like temperature, pressure, and weight to ensure precise control. How automation ensures safety by shutting down systems in case of malfunctions. Industry Interaction: Interactive sessions with experienced professionals, where students engaged in discussions on industry trends, innovations, and career opportunities.
