Medi-Caps University has once again made a unique effort to organize its alumni. By continuously organizing events for the alumni, Medi-Caps has kept itself at the forefront. This time, the Medi-Caps Alumni Association has established a city chapter in their own city, after previously establishing chapters in Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore. This has certainly given a new dimension to the Medi-Caps Alumni Association.

The Indore chapter coordinators, Mr. Amit Makhijani, Mr. Sunil Kumar, Mr. Himanshu Goyal, and Mr. Ashwini Thakur, have brought a new energy to the efforts of the alumni association and students of Medi-Caps for their betterment.

President Sourabh Dave said that the association has been aiding the students who have been studying in the institution, whose earning members have passed away, and supporting the development of skills of the students by constructing advanced high-end laboratories. The advisor of the association, Jayesh Barve, took a commitment from every alumnus to adopt at least one student. Alumni guidance will brighten the future of the students. The Alumni Faculty Incharge, Awnee Subhedar, coordinated games and cultural programs for the alumni.

The presence of Senior Professors Dr. Abbas Ali Kausar, Dr. Shipra Ahuja Joshi, Anil Patidar, and Wasim Ahmed filled all the alumni with enthusiasm. Vice-Chancellor Dr. D.K. Patnaik, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. D.K. Panda, OSD Shri Palash Garg, and Registrar Dr. Navin Dhingra congratulated the alumni and appreciated the efforts of the association.

The games provide a platform for young athletes from different states and union territories to showcase their skills and compete at the national level. The event aims to identify and support promising athletes, provide them with top-notch facilities, coaching, and exposure, and contribute to the development of sports culture in India. Through Khelo India Youth Games, the government seeks to foster a spirit of sportsmanship, healthy competition, and fitness among the youth while aiming to create a pool of potential future champions for various international sporting events.

Blood donation camp was organized on 29th May, 2023 in university campus by the Socio eco club in collaboration with M.Y. hospital Indore and Collectorate on the occasion of Indore Gaurav Divas. The event started at 9 AM by a short inaugural function where the team of the doctors from M.Y. Hospital, Dr. D.K. Patnaik (Vice chancellor Medi-caps University) and Virendra Chouhan Sir were present. Then instructions were given to all the Socio-Eco club volunteers by the doctors on how the volunteers can help them. Around 150 volunteers came forward to make the blood donation camp successful and 121 units of blood were collected. Also, a team from Balaji wafers came forward to be a part of this campaign. After the donation the donors were provided with fruits and juices in order to re-energize themselves. Also, a feedback desk was present on which the donors wrote about their experiences from the blood donation camp. After donating blood, all the donors were honored with a certificate. At last respected Program Officer Sir Dr. P. Hari Krishna resented the doctors with momentous and flowers and a small photo session was arranged.

In Medi-Caps university, Real Time Maths Model Competition, IDEALGEBRA was organised by Maths Club, under Department of Mathematics on 22nd Feb  2023, under the guidance of Program chair Prof. Dr. Rekha Jain, HOD  Mathematics and faculty coordinators Prof  Dr. Pranjali   Kekre and Prof. Priyanka Sisodiya. The Competition was inaugurated at 11:55 am in the presence of honourable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. D. K. Patnaik, Pro-VC Prof. Dr. D. K. Panda, Deputy PVC Dr. Ankur Saxena,  OSD to Chancellor Palash Garg, Director B &P Saloni Garg,  Registrar Dr. Naveen Dhingra , Dean, Heads and faculty members  of various departments. The participants presented real world applications of mathematics through their working and   software models on transportation problem, orientation symmetry, suspension bridge, shortest distance using software and many more. Competition was conducted under three categories namely Simulation, Working model and Poster Presentation. Students of various programs participated enthusiastically and presented their models . The models were judged by Prof. Dr. A. A. Koser Dean Science , Prof. Dr. Rinku Verma and Prof. Rudresh Shah. Mr. Sourabh Jawale, Student  President of Maths club given vote of thanks to Department of Mathematics and to all those who were directly or indirectly involved in making this event successful.

Pulses are climate resilient crop, rich in edible and digestible protein comprising of major component of balanced diet system. This important event was conducted in the presence of Dr. Ankur Saxena (Dy. PVC), Dr. Sanjay Jain (Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy), Dr. Anjali Soni (Head, Department of Chemistry), Dr. S.D Upadhyaya (Dean, Faculty of Agriculture) and Dr. Jagdish Singh (Professor, Faculty of Agriculture). An One Day Seminar on GIT & Open-Source Technology was organized by Department of Computer Science and Computer Applications on 24th February 2023, Friday for BCA and B.Sc. (Computer Science) – I, II and III Year and MCA-I Year Students. The Seminar was convened by Dr. Jitendra Choudhary, HoD, Computer Science and was coordinated by Dr. Arpit Neema, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science respectively. The aim of this seminar was to make students acquainted with the latest trend and technology of GIT & Open Source, importance of these technologies in the Placements and the preparations needed for Industry. The Seminar was in two sessions, In the First session, Technical Consultant Ms. Priya Sharma gave a brief insight about Hotwax Systems, its working policies, its business ethics etc. and Open-Source Technology and software. In the second session, Software Engineer Ms. Janvi Talreja has given ample knowledge on GIT along with practical hands on it to give broad knowledge about the content. This really motivated the students for knowing the right way of learning GIT & Open-Source Technology. Students were motivated by their achievements. Both speakers focused on participation in different types of Tech-Fests and Hackathons organized by Google, Facebook, different Tech Communities, various software firms, Universities and even by Hotwax Systems. According to them, it is the best practice to Contribute Codes in the Open-Source Environment. Not only Codes, but also documents, asking various types of questions is also a sort of contribution that can be given by anyone on the internet. To sum it up, it was a very good and motivational seminar which will go a long way in helping the students in preparing for technical competitions in the future based on these technologies. The students participated with great enthusiasm.

Har Angan Yog Yoga is a discipline and meditation which needs to be practiced physically, mentally and spiritually. Keeping these words in mind and as per the order of Ministry of AYUSH & UGC, Government of India, Medi-Caps University Indore, celebrated 9th International Day of Yoga on 21st June, 2023 in the University Campus. To make people of Medi-Caps familiar with the common Yoga Protocol circulated by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, practice sessions were held in the campus under the guidance of Trained Yoga Teacher, Dr. Puja Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics, Medi-Caps University, Indore. A successful session for the celebration of the International Day of Yoga has been conducted smoothly.  To make the event successful, Dr. D K Panda, Pro Vice-Chancellor along with fraternity of the University took part in the program with full zest by practicing all Yog Asanas and encouraged the Professors, technicians, staff members and students to stay fit mentally, physically & spiritually. The whole programme was very well organized and enjoyed by the University fraternity. Dr Panda, Pro Vice-Chancellor encouraged the participants to practice YOGA every day. Dr. Puja Singh delivered vote of thanks.

During this visit, team of senior Engineers of Metro rail explained all steps of construction starting from foundation to placing of girders, precasting of girders, pre tensioning & post tensioning. Different safety measures and prectical problems of metro rail project also explained by metro team.  During this visit students enjoyed various aspect of construction and refreshment.
