The Program Educational Objectives of the Electrical Engineering postgraduate program are to:

PEO-1

To prepare graduates with advance knowledge of engineering principles, computing and science to develop necessary skills to synthesize and create Electrical Engineering systems, algorithms and complex apparatus.

PEO-2

To prepare graduates as competent to evaluate, provide and create economically feasible and socially acceptable solutions of real life technical problems in industry, research and academics related to energy, power, information, science, business and public policy.

PEO-3

To prepare graduates to excel in professionalism and adoptability at the global level, with professional competence and ethical administrative acumen so as to be able to handle critical situations and meet deadlines.

PEO-4

To indoctrinate an attitude in graduates to undergo research work as well as to involve in scientific innovations for global and sustainable development in Electrical and allied Engineering.

PEO-5

To prepare graduates to communicate effectively, adopt lifelong learning, pursue higher education and act with Integrity and have interpersonal skills needed to engage in, lead and nurture diverse teams, with commitment to their ethical and social responsibilities.

The Program Outcomes of the M.Tech. Electrical Engineering postgraduate program are:

Ability to devise, conduct experiments and apply simulation, analysis and design tools to problems so as to analyze and interpret data in Electrical and allied Engineering.

POs-2

Ability to analyze complex engineering projects and design a component, a system or a process to meet the desired specification within the realistic constraints such as economics, energy, environment, ethics, health, safety and manufacturability in Electrical Engineering related to power systems.

POs-3

Ability to analyse the impact of the professional engineering solutions in economic, energy, societal and environmental contexts and to spread the knowledge of, and for the need of sustainable development.

POs-4

To solve professional, legal and ethical issues pertaining to core Electrical and allied engineering and its related field and to show commitment to ethical responsibilities.
