The Department of Information Technology
The Department of Information Technology (IT) at Medicaps Institute of Technology and Management was founded in 2000 with a student intake of 60 in the B.E. program. The intake capacity was increased to 120 in 2006, and in 2007, the M.Tech (IT) program was introduced with 18 seats. Medicaps University was established in 2016, offering 120 seats in B.Tech and 18 seats in M.Tech in Information Technology.

Dr. Prashant Panse is currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology at Medicaps University, Indore. He holds a doctoral degree in Computer Network and has contributed significantly in research related to Internet of Things (IoT), Mobile Ad hoc Network, Vehicular Ad hoc Network, and Computer Network. With over 20 years of experience in academic, training, research, consultancy, and industry, he has worked in both the IT Industry and academia. He has published 20+ research papers in reputed National and International Journals and is a member of several National and International Societies, including ACM, ISOC, UACEE, and IAENG.
