Civil Engineering
Established in 2000, the Department of Civil Engineering at Medicaps University boasts highly educated and experienced faculty and well-established laboratories. The syllabus is designed to meet industry and higher studies requirements, and students benefit from online courses.
The department offers a popular B. Tech Civil Engineering program with an intake of 120 students per year for UG and 18 for PG. Graduates are employed in various sectors, including government, public and private, and IT, primarily working in the design, construction, and supervision of infrastructure.
The department's vision is to achieve academic excellence and develop motivated graduates with the knowledge and skills required by the industry.
Vision
To emphasize deep understanding of fundamental principles, development of creative ability to handle the challenges of Civil Engineering, and the analytical ability to solve problems which are interdisciplinary in nature.
Mission
- To offer an exceptional curriculum including in-depth coverage in three technical sub-disciplines of civil engineering: structural engineering, Construction Management and Environmental engineering, as well as broad coverage in Computer Aided Design.
- To engage students in creating innovative design solutions of civil engineering problems that include realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, sustainability, social, ethical, health and safety.
- To provide research experiences, allowing students to work closely with members of the faculty
- To employ highly dedicated faculty members who are effective teacher scholars committed to maintaining a learner-centered environment with emphasis on student mentoring.
