The Department of Commerce was started in the year 2016 and has well qualified and experienced faculty with appropriate infrastructure to meet the quality in education required to meet the challenges in the 21st century. The department has around 60 students. The total intake of students is 60 each in every year. The students are not only trained in academic excellence but also encouraged to acquire industry exposure through in-house training sessions like workshops,seminars and live projects in various areas. Special training like workshops on soft skills equip the students to be industry ready to find the jobs in their interested area. The Department is committed to give the best of exposure to budding students to meet various challenges in real and professional world.Under the guidance of experienced and skilled teachers students are also trained on basic concepts of various subjects and their application in research and industry. Remedial classes are organized for weeker students. At under graduate level students are made to work hard by giving them regular assignments and small projects related with the subject. Thus department prepare students to excel in their career ahead.

Dr.Sanjeevni Gangwani presently working as Dean and Professor of Commerce , Medi-Caps University, Indore, has been associated with the institute since the year 2010.She has published 35 research papers in National/International Journals and Conferences. She has also published a book on organization development.She has been the resource person and convenor of various workshops,seminars and management development programmes. She has also organized various student development workshops and seminars. She has guided many research projects for the academic development of the students.

A One day seminar was organized by the Department of commerce on “Emerging trends in trade,Commerce and Industry”on 9th September 2016. The speakers were the members of Indian Commerce association. To cope up with the rapid advancement in the technology, the department also organizes industrial visits and educational tours.
